This course is designed to create a strong foundation in phonemic and phonological awareness. It is a structured literacy program based on phonological-coding. Each lesson is bite-sized to ensure retention of the sounds and syllables that make up the English language. This course offers a holistic literacy approach that covers decoding, fluency, comprehension, writing and spelling.

Students practice comprehension strategies using level-appropriate texts that are engaging and high interest. Using data-driven instruction, this course is designed to ensure students meet their benchmark goals and achieve grade level reading mastery. This course focuses on text dependent inquiry, inferences and author's craft.

This course is designed for students who struggle with written expression, have difficulty with organizing ideas across genre, and who simply struggle to get ideas down on paper. It has a typing component to ensure students can type as quickly as they think and speak. With a project-based learning approach, students write their own books to experience what it is like to think like a writer.

In this course, students develop executive functioning skills to improve time and material management. It helps students become high functioning learners both in school and in their everyday lives. Sessions focus on organizing work spaces, understanding that all learning materials have "a home" and teaches students how to study in a way that is best for their brains. This course is designed for students who need to develop work habits and work ethic.

Students master foundational math skills through a sensory approach. Visualization and kinesthetic methods are used to build mental math prowess. Fun math games, adaptive and assistive technology as well as music therapy help younger children internalize foundational material. This course has a literacy component and is also designed to teach kids how to follow multidirectional word problems and master grade-level math standards.

In this course, students work to produce top quality homework for all subjects. Students learn how to complete assignments efficiently and in an appropriate amount of time. Organization, planning, content mastery and timeliness are at the heart of this course. Sessions are tapered down as students show independence with work load.
